Trophy sachs shocks onto 172 cup?

  Saxo VTS
Hey guys, im new to the forum and relatively new to clios....
Im buying a 172 cup in a month or so and my brother has offered to give me his spare set of sachs 182 trophy dampers from his car which need a rebuild.
What is required to make them fit? What springs to use for fast road/ trackday?
Any help appreciated.

Just buy a trophy then. It will be far cheaper overall with the bonus that its the real thing.

Im not bothered about having a real trophy, my brother has one and im getting the shocks for free, thats why im trying to do a costing on the conversion. Also i get greater pleasure from building cars than buying them already done.

AFAIK.. 182 cup hubs have different drive shafts over 182 non cup. And also different inner track rods. Not sure how that all compares to a 172 cup.

It's all doable I am sure.. But then so are top end coilovers. With non of the agro.
