Wheel Offset

Sorry for another thread about offsets. I'm looking to buy some 15" wheels with an offset of ET36 but I'm worried this might be too much. Is anyone running this much offset on a 172? If so, how much is your car lowered by and do you get any rubbing? Cheers

mine are et43 if it helps. I'm pretty sure I've seen others running 38.

You can safely run 36 on a 172 i had williams speedlines on my cup they were ET36 no problems..

Do 172 Cups run different offset to normal 172s ET43 or am I thinking of the 182 Cup? Know the 172 is ET43 and either 172 Cup or 182 Cup is ET38.

172 cup is et 38.5

172 normal is ET48

182 is ET 45

172 phs1 is ET 43

all off the top of my head, so i could be worng

yeah i normally say 38 is about the limit on a 172, you might have to moddify with 36 the front bumper brackets, but its no biggie

  More poke than viagr
Well mine are ET48 but with 20mm spacers....so ET28. i only have slight rubbing issues, and with the wider arches of the Sports id say you'd be fine....saying that dont believe me over Fred lol

  RS RIP
bumperbracket will be the only issue with the ET 36 , `i'm lowered with ET 38 (CUP) and have fast curve rubbing.

you'll be fine i guess

I've found a couple more pictures to try and show you what height mine was and the offset.

I didn't have any bracket rubbing issues but did have a bit of arch liner scrubbing

Mine are et38 and had some rubbing on the bumper bracket so I cut away some of the excess and bent the rest out upwards. Only rubbed once since doing so and I was pushing hard. Not sure how low mine is, maybe 50mm, I'll get a pic. But do it, looks much better that extra 10mm.

I've been trying to sort out the offsets for the different models, along with the subframe changes to figure out the track widths.
I have a 15" oz F1 so can confirm the ph1 was 15*7 et43.
I'd like to know the offset of the 5 spoke 16s used on the normal ph2 172 if anyone can confirm, as well as the offset on the cup models?

Cheers
