Three, buy a wide strip of it from B&Q and cut strips off.

I just used those with 3 per plate. Works perfectly fine and I often remove to clean or swap to my full size front...

Try the Korbond rack in asda/sainsburys (sewing stuff), they do a meter strips for a couple of quid. Get black, its self adhesive, not white as its sew on!)
Enough to do 5-6 strips of varying lengths across 2 plates.

Just beware, most self adhesive velcro will get hot in the summer and slip, especially on darker cars!

Yes. Put the soft side on the car. Otherwise microfibres etc will stick to it.
