is this normal?

Having a wee look round the clio ive notice that the top mounts sit up off the turret like the below pic. Is this normal? I haven't done anything to the suspension yet but have all the parts for a refresh so need to know if this is normal.

Perfectly normal to sit off the turret but yours look exceptionally high!

Thats what I thought, any ideas why? The other side isn't as high as that

I'd imagine that the components at the top of the strut have been put back in the wrong order.

Has it had a spring change lately?

Not to my knowledge ive only had it a couple of months though

Looks like the top mount is straight onto the rubber too, which is also sitting to high so means it's worn.

I have new top mounts waiting to go on so that should hopefully cure it
