Strong Fuel smell again

Hi just been out noticed fuel smell coming back,car is outside on idle with a strong fuel smell.Lambda was replaced last June then again for a new bosch 1 November.Dont have any engine lights on and its been running poor from cold.

I had this issue as well as poor running, low idle and stalling - turned out to be a lose wire on the connector (harness side).

Carl thanks its getting up too temp and 7500 limiter,its booked in next Monday anything else or is it the rs2 or map destroying the lambda ?

When my pre lambda went I bought the NTK one instead of the Bosch ones like people say. Been running fine after I cleared the code and it was cheaper. £37 IIRC

When you've not long had your car mapped mate and you start changing bits like the exhuast...it can throw AFRs out. It's a risk you take when playing with f4r's. Bit harsh to blame the specialist when it went boobs up after you had bits changed else where.

If you were removing a cat after it was mapped then ok. Swapping exhausts imo will not cause the afr to differ too much.

Depends wether it's more or less restrictive really. Or (knowing it was done by a welsh garage) fitted with a pair of wellies and velcro gloves on.
Just seems odd as I know Alex was happy with the car when it was returned to start with...then changed bits...then hit problems.

Exhaust hasn't been changed its pms exhaust still on car.Car has only done 400 miles since November .Im hoping its just lambda again as mpg is honestly down to 23mpg running about.Will update Wednesday when its out of garage.

Not saying it IS the cause as that would be like pissing in the wind...but could be a chance that it's thrown a spanner in the works. Tried swapping back? You didn't seem to have issues before hand.

Imo if all that was swapped over was an unsilneced to a silenced centre it would cause zero issues.
