12th March NW Meet/Drive Out (?)

So, today's meet was a bit of an anti-climax, p*ss poor planning.

Anyhoo.

Lets get a drive out (North Wales, Lakes, Yorkshire?) and meet sorted for a weekend soon from now, maybe late this month/early march. I'm thinking we sort a drive out followed by meeting back at Krispy Kreme's in Manchester for old times sake. Hopefully get some old faces out, I'm looking at @Christopher, @welshname, @Eddie., @Jonff, @jamie rigby, @Brett, @Naith, @Joe#, @Knuckles, @Jon.G, @Ash., @JoeyD etc.

It'd be good to see some of the newer faces too.

I'd be up for a meet but my time is very limited these days. I'd rather get up early and have a nice drive somewhere for some photos and a nice lunch. If we are meeting at or around the Trafford centre balls to standing around in the car park let's go play crazy golf or something.

One of the best meets I went to was when we all went go karting and the little dawf won with him being so light.

I'll happily sort out a meet for in 6 weeks ago giving everyone a chance to come and long enough to book time off. I know plenty of places still to go.

Yeah drive out would be the plan. I'm easy really so long as people turn up.

I don't think the staff liked us turning up and trashing the place. But it was a funny night.

Re the 4th of March, there's a track day at oulton that a lot of us are going on.

Could be good to get a few people over to spectate or come for passenger rides

Maybe Evo Triangle/Llanberis Pass and those usual routes? Stopping for food/pics etc.

I reckon the best way to go about this is to just set a time and date, everybody is going to have different times available so it will be hard to please everybody. I reckon first weekend of March like @Niall97 suggested. Maybe a Sunday morning drive somewhere and have dinner out maybe, nothing too fancy I'm more of a fast food kind of guy myself, hopefully the weather will have cheered up a little by then and could be a nice day out for everyone who can make it....?

evo triangle sucks!! busy, roads are m'eh at best and plod hang around there as well :wink:

A483 from chester, head to welshpool, turn right at B4396 from there either head across to bala and then straight over at the bridge and on to trawsfyndd and then up to betwyscoed

or B4396 and pick up the signs for machynlleth and then head north or on to the coast road and up through tywyn, you can cut over the mach loop this way as well.

either of those ways take you over some fantastic roads that are quiet most of the time and you hardly ever see plod on them.
