Another AMG

Well looks like I will returning back to a AMG for the time being as there are zero M5 tourers for sale with under 60k on the clock, looking at this tomorrow with the view to drive away.

Shade over 70k which is now average, certainly not paying 28k for one with under 40k on the clock, no point now as the warranty prices have gone through the roof.

They detail all their cars as part of prep before sale so I'm hoping it might be swirl free :innocent:

It's not the cheapest but hopefully it's going to be good as they have cars from 15-600k range.

The dealership in question is near Hurst. About 5 miles away, it's neither a Mercedes dealer, or actually in Hurst, so it's probably not what he was getting at!

Just got back from viewing the car.

Needs some work, requires front and rear discs + pads, rear tyres, and is now due a service.

If I was to do all of that it would cost £2500.

So I offered to pay the screen price and they sort it, or they take £2500 off and I sort it.

Will know by the end of the day.

No where near as nimble as M5 but still fun. Exhaust has been tweaked also so pops and farts nicely.

I think it's pretty much the end of the day....
Unless they have over £5k in that car, i'd be shocked if they agree.

The Blue M5 at that dealership has good miles and the largest service history they've ever seen and the paid up BMW warranty.

The engine and car are pretty heroic ill agree, just questioning the reason for 7 seats that was all.

Well they won't budge on price and will only include a service, the Mercedes warranty it was advertised with has also expired.

Anyone who knows to check the basics won't touch that now.

Fyi this amg doesn't have 7 seats.

I'm not paying 2k for maintenance a few weeks after owning.

The M5 they have is pre lci, nothing special, there are better specced LCI models with lower miles and warranty currently for sale.

Might look at C63 AMG estates next with PP pack.

1mm before hitting rear markers.

Front and rear pads maybe a few k. Discs are past min thickness and feel warped through pedal.

It's one of those situations were it's been really looked after and the previous owner wanted something else. So got shot just before it needed the work, exactly what In would do. I don't believe for one minute the margins not there, they just don't want to sort it. Lets be fare, its pocket change to the rest of the cars they have so I guess they will just sit on it.
