I needed some for my last track day and had some almost new ones kicking around from a car I had broken.
Fitted them and was pretty impressed TBF. Certainly did the job, didn't experience any fade and wear did not appear too bad. I brake fairly hard too!
The circuit I used them at was Lydden Hill which is fairly short and top speeds are not that great. I was pleasantly surprised though.

There are much better pads, but obviously prices vary quite a bit! @George@RTR_Parts is the man to speak to regarding brake parts.
Fronts is what you need to concentrate on. Rears do next to nothing. Imo standard Brembo discs and pads are fine on the rear.

Yeah they do about half as much of what the fronts do. Or they should do if your calipers aren't knackered.
It's only the 172 Cup which is different.

I have a 172 Cup track car so maybe mis-informed. I still don't think the rears do much though on the 172 Sport or 182's. Especially when the nose of the car is compressed down and rear lifts.
I am aware they have a functioning bias valve unlike the Cups pre-set one.

But going by that reasoning, every car in the world would be like that then... The front always compresses under braking.
Mine pull 360kg front and 160kg rear per caliper on MOT rollers.

As they should on a mot roller. Due to the bias valve being fully functioning.
On the road or track day conditions the rears do very little. Otherwise they would just lock up all the time.
Due to the weight of a clio I would still focus my attention on the fronts and make sure the rears are functioning correctly. Standard discs and pads are suitable imo. I may have just opened a can of worms though!

All I know is that they 100% work better on track with uprated pads in compared to standard.
OEM pads can't even clear the surface rust off where as mine does with the PBS in.
Definitely can't touch the discs after a session like some people claim you can.

Q7 2018 & 172 Cup.
I have a 172 cup. I originally ran PBS just on my fronts and standard rears , which the front pads only lasted 2 Silverstone full days and 1 Bedford day. I recently changed all the pads for PBS and I can definitely feel the difference that the rear is working better with PBS in them. The car feels like it brakes flatter and not nose dive as much and I can actually hear the rears now.

as mentioned above with most FWD hatches bias is split roughly 66/33 front/rear. As mentioned bit different with the 172 Cup, as due to none abs the rear bias was set low from the factory to stop people locking the rear wheels up on the road.
That's with the braking system working as it should, ie good condition rear calipers and the bias valve working properly and not seized etc
better rear brake pads will help scrub speed off, keep the bias in check (will help nose diving under braking) and they'll wear better than oe spec pads as they take temps better on track. lots of other variable come into it, driving style, tyres, suspension etc with the nose diving under braking .
Also it's horses for courses, some people want to do the odd track day and just have fun so just put some better front pads in and decent fluid and they're away. In that case you can "get away" running oe rear pads . If building a track only car, and doing the longer/harder sessions chasing lap times , then better rear pads would make sense
