Is there any high mileage clio rs EDC's

  Clio rs 200 edc
Hi all I have the 2015 clio rs EDC had this about a year now got it at 47k miles and now on 62k with oil changes at 6-7k I'm debating parting with it end of the year not because the car is bad but I just dont tend to see many high mileage 100k plus of these I don't really want to get rid but is there a life expectancy on these will it start to crumble around the 90k mark it's more the EDC that's concerning me just wondering if anyones got a high miler still going strong?

Aren’t they only like 5/6 years old? It will go on forever, and if something breaks, it can be fixed!

I believe that the manufacturer are supposed to have spares support for 10 years after a model has ceased production - not sure if this is still true or if it was just rumours Mines 63 plate and had it from new.

Good to know I rarely seen these over 100k so was just worried about keeping it longer then I should have is yours still stock from factory or has it been mapped or any additional modifications? Also you had any issues with the alloys mines on the 18 inch cup wheels and on the mot it was advised that the alloy had a split I got it welded up but the guy advised me it looked like one of the other wheel had a previous weld done and had been painted over, guessing the previous owner just dinged it over curbs and speed bumps

It has an RSTuning map on it from 5 years ago
Ktec sport exhaust
blistien B14 coil overs.
Airtec intercooler
Airtec turbo cooler
Airtec intake - currently back on standard intake
Running on the 18” cup alloys no issues with any of them cracking. April to November
17” Dezent alloys for the winter months. December to March.
Plus a few cosmetic bits and bobs

Plus a few cosmetic bits and peace of mind for me I've got tune on from a company called chip tech tuning, an ITG intake system and just waiting on a GFB diverter valve only had the map on for around 6 months at least your gearbox is still running strong with the map etc gives me abit more confidence in the car, looking to get the intercooler/oil cooler In the future but might go for the pro alloy👍

RSTuning won’t rag the car with a map. Paul knows what he’s doing so keeps it safe and the car happy.
The gear boxes are a lot stronger than people give them credit for. There were a lot of haters when these first came out and that misconception has stuck even though the worst gear boxes around judging by comments on various forums were the 197 boxes. Some people don’t like change.

Yeah I heard alot of positives from rs tuning I think I'm going to go to him next when the car has a few more modifications when I step up to the intercooler and oil cooler I got the ITG kit from them too there plus I know they offer a gearbox tune for these also, only 20 mins away from me, I dont get why it got slated so hard either really for the money you can get them at today it's a good car and better looking then the fiesta st and corsa

You’ve just pipped me to the leader post, mines on 120k. There’s not many with that kind of mileage on them. Had I have been able to work through the lockdowns I’d have been well north of that by now.

I’ve replaced the battery, ARB bushes, wishbones, brakes, tyres etc. It’s currently in the garage as the alternator I suspect has had it. Apart from that it’s been good as gold. I don’t like the map it’s got on it, but I’m stuck with it.

What is it like on the b14s?

Firm for UK roads, holds the corners well but I would just recommend getting springs if it’s just lowered you’re looking for. As passengers don’t really appreciate the ride.

I've got Trophy springs on mine at the moment and it's rough! Hoping fitting Trophy rear shocks will help as it's too crashy at the moment. All the loweing springs are too low for me, don't like how it sits - The Trophy springs sit nice at the front - I might end up back on my cup springs at the rear if these shocks don't help!
