Having tried 2 obd readers it would seem that the ECU won't connect on my phase 1.

Obd not connecting to ecu

I also have a ph1 which won't connect using OBD
I tried ELM327 BL, Memoscan U600 & Konnwei KW850
All of them achieve "connection" using the right protocol (ISO14230-4 KWP/5BPS) but can't retrieve any information at all.
In the OBD socket, both grounds are fine, both 12V are also fine and both cables connecting to ECU are checked for continuity.
Has anyone encountered such problem ?
What could cause that ?
(I own the car for 7 months and I have never managed to use the OBD, but I also have never visited a Renault dealer to try their diagnostics)
