Sticker residue & dirt

I've taken some decals off, that have been stuck on for 16 years!
Left with these hard lines of crap that have built up, over the years. + A small bit of the adhesive in places.
Used a hairdryer to remove the actual stickers which came off easy.

How'd I go about cleaning and removing the remains, without scratching? Washing makes little impact.
Got rid of one line with wd40 and rubbing with my finger, but that's not a solution

I would be trying tar and glue remover. Have you got any cleaning bits?

yeah! all the gear - no idea

Tar remover is how I've done it in the past, pure ethanol hand sanitiser works quite well too.

Petrol is good for removing sticker residue.

scotch pad works a treat

Tar and glue remover to soften it and then wipe away. Reapply if needed

Anything else like you say could scratch the paint
