DA Polisher recommendations

Looking to get a DA polisher to use on the Clio nothing crazy expensive or fancy really just to tidy up the car. But there seems so many options on the market not sure what's best.

Any suggestions would be great thanks

Having looked online i set a budget of around £100-£150 but not sure if that's okay for a decent one that will last?

Cheers for the tag :).

What polishers have you seen? Like you say there are hundreds.....

Budget 100/150 is easily enough. But factor in you need pads, polishes etc.

I’m always tempted by one of his for sale ads, but I just know I’ll end up burning through my paint work 😂

Unless you put a 50grit sanding pad on or forget to put any polish on the pad, you'd struggle to burn anything. You're more likely to get bored waiting for smoke than just smashing thru the clear coat.

Especially on a BMW. Paint is like granite usually 🤣

Wrong I'm afraid. You sit there long enough with an aggressive pad and compound and it will burn, trust me lol.

I tried to remove a deep scratch on a sales car, whacked out my 3" (polisher) with red flex pad, roar compound ceramic.

It was either scratch gets better/removed, or paint. When my pad turned a hint of blue I know it was time to admit defeat, well not defeat as such as the scratch was 90% better/acceptable but i definitely burnt through, only a small patch (not noticeable (

Also did it on a grey MK4 Clio years ago, way more noticeable then lol

Worth a watch

The auto finesse ones decent sometimes on offer & usually a discount code floating about.
