Hi

  Clio 172
Ello everyone, New to the site, I've been doing some reading up (yes I use the search function!) on the clio 172 as me and my girlfriend have just sold our cars and will be now picking up a phase 1 172 tomorrow.

U lot seem like a friendly bunch, seen some nice cars on here too.

yeah I'm sure we'll like it, it's not got a mark on it and only done 30,000 with a full renault service history.

Thank you all,

Silver, 1st thing to do is lower it I think, not sure what springs to go for though, people on here seem to think that apex are better but problem is we don't really want to ride to be all that harsh, but still for the car to look nice. So kinda stuck on what to go on.

LOL I had a nose at the turbo kit (cos this is the 1st non Turbo charged car I've owned) HOW MUCH!!!! LOL!!!! £7k!!!!! haha!

My first car was a Fiat Punto GT Turbo and 2nd car I've just got rid of after owninf for 4 1/2 years was my Nissan Pulsar GTi-R (someone travelled nearly 600 miles to buy it!!! HAHA! Nutters.)

The clio will seem like a diesel pulling a trailer full of elephants compared to your GTi-R!! lol

Same here m8 - you'll miss the GT's uptake, but you certainly won't miss the GT's inherent dislike of corners. The RS Clios are something else for that... ;)

Hi mate, Welcome to CS.

For lowering... APEX are regarded here as giving the best drop but most harsh ride, Eibach pros give great ride but hardly any drop and Eibach sportlines give about 30mm drop and superb ride/handling. Go for those sportlines mate !!
