weird niose when i first start up??? help??

Hi All

This is my first time on this site and ive just purchased a very nice flame red 172 which i love, but theres a small problem :S
When i start my baby its fine but as soon as i touch the wheel to go left or right (whether it be forwards or backwards) it makes a small grating niose from the left side. Its only for about 4 sec but its enough to bug me. I have taken it to renault but they seem to think its an electrical check from the ABS pump when its starts and that theres no point in changing it as it works perfect and that some pumps make different nioses if any at all:dapprove::S. they did sort out my shocker tops as apparently they sometimes make a niose and they have checked the power steering pump and thats fine??
Would be great if anybody else had has this problem or similar and what they have done to fix it?

cheers

Check the bottom ball joints top mount bearing also the waishbone and ARB bushes for wear.

The ABS system does go though a self test though which is what you might be hearing.

If Renault have chedked and modief the strut top then they will have chekced the other bits most likly.

The wheel bearing usually presents itself as a rumbling noise if it's damaged and will need replacing. It may also be the CV joint. Go to the garage and get the mechanic to come out in the car with you.

further to the responses i have had - the noise only happens when i first start and no time after that hence why it could possibly be an electrical fault???
