Top mount Rubbers - Part Number

GSF sell them £10 a time or so.

Should have asked them how difficult it was to undo the strut bolts that would make for an interesting reply.

Maz, you can get a whole top mount kit which is worth getting. Comes with a new bearing, rubber mount, rubber top cap and bolt. They're £63 inc vat.

Ive just bought 1 for each side... replaced them only to find out the old ones weren't actually worn. So its worth checking your old ones before investing! lol

I will have a look for a GSF, thanks Edde, would pref to buy them direct from Renault for easyness but if no one has the part number hey ho ..

£35 or so I think From Renault. Thats why I used the GSF one they seem identical ad for £10 each cannot complain.

Remember that Renault don't make the parts, it's likely they are produced by the same company. Besides, not a very advanced piece...

I have had top mount problems before and had the work carried out under warranty so I need to be sure they are renault parts incase anything goes wrong again thats all ..

Ive got the dialogies/manuals set up on an old pc, the prices are 4 years out of date and they are based on my 172mk1 fab code but iirc all mk2 Clios are the same (except v6). The kit that fubar mentioned is number 8:

Yep doens't matter anyway they cannot be blamed for anything.

you need to remove the wheel, and the whole shock absorber to check/replace the rubbers Maz.

Maz, bear in mind that rubber was my old one, had covered 58k miles and several trackdays and it still wasn't worn. I just replaced them at the same time as the shocks for good measure.

31K ... so did you pay £67 per corner and that included shocks etc ?

I've seen a 1.2 car with 38k on the clock though with heavily worn top mounts (did have modified springs though)

Maz they should last 70K easily, i doubt yours are worn (unless you've put on weight? )

My driver side mount is worn and im gonna get my mate to get one for trade price. He's gonna put it on and also put the washers on that Fredyozzasport provides. Fred im gonna have to buy a couple off you mate.
