I have my 17's on at the moment and i had more grip with my 185/55/R15 rubber than i do with my 205/40/R17 rubber

It handled so much better on 15's too but i like the looks on the 17's lol, i had to stop quickly tonight on the 17's and thought it wasent going to stop, but on the 15's it stopped so much quicker!

So what do i do:




17's TSW PACE - Put Up with grip and handling

15's Dynamique Wheels - Put up with looks

Would 16s be better for me, does this give you good handling and grip i cant remember?? If so what about these??



16's FOX EVO6 Wheels - I have these ATM

16's 172 Wheels

16's 172 Wheels Antha

16's 182 Wheels

What are your opinions??

i like the 172 16s . i think is u sprayed they white would look good. i don't really like black wheels on a black car but the tsw pace look really good i want thous in 16s

i changed my 17s this year for 16s, much better and designed for the car.

17s are crap on clios - period.

Id sell your 15s and 17s and buy some 16s,

I like the anthracite 172's. They would also look amazing in gloss black.

re: lack of grip etc, have you got a different make of tyre on there? That will probably be the problem as 17s in a good make of tyre should create more grip than the same tyre in 15s due to more rubber on the road.

(Except when it's wet, that is, when narrower rubber will cut through the water more and aquaplane less )

Trade off is worse handling though, as you've found out... lol

I'd stick with 16s as they fill the arches better but aren't as extreme!

172 16" mate, will look awesome, and if you can stand it, do them in white to go with the black+white theme, would look really good.

yea man im lowering 40mm on bilstein on my 15's might get some better tyres though, wheels will be refurbed anthracite with polished lip for fcs too

but depending on the price i think alot of people on here really rate F1'S, i know i love my proxes, so much grip and it doesnt seem to spin up as easy if you try and pull from a junction fast.

I'd sell your 15's and 16's to raise the cash for either, 182's, 172's or Turini's, all in gunmetal colour and with some decent tyres, and then you can keep your 17's if you fancy the change.

If you decide to just stick with the 17's get some better tyres than the Falken ditch finders and pzero widow makers.

The 17's look really sweet, but the handling when you're back on 15's does feel a lot better. Its something I've been trying to decide on for a while now. I've compromised and stuck with 17s, will use my venoms for when I want to go have some fun.
