Buy a 1.6...Stop wasting money on extra ins etc.. Just get a bigger engine.

heat shield the k&n as if it isnt that'll be loosing power anyway

As suggested, heat shield the IK, maybe get a full system, de-cat maybe?(unsure on this) and a remap.

get a stainless steel system with decat...

demon tweeks sell a 'green cotton' universal heat shield which is very cheap, use that

Gonna' bring this thread back to life if you don't mind fellas.

What's involved to remap a 1.6 Dynamique, how much could you expect to improve performance and expect to pay?

around £300 i expect,maybe 5 or so bhp same with torque,should drive nicer too

oh and unless the heatshield is a full wrap around one heatsoak will still be an issue,id put the std airbox bk on mate il bet it will go alot better

Only 5 brake extra? Wouldn't be worth it one bit imo.
I understand generally there's car specialists throughout the UK that can tune Audis and VW's from the 130 mark up to 180/190, maybe thats only diesels, I'm not sure, but why's it expected to be so little on the Mk2 Clio's?

Your talking turbo cars to get gains like that from re-maps, diesel or petrol no matter all turbo.
