Maximum speed in the handbook and parkers for the 1.2 16v is 106mph, goes up to silly speed on the speedo but you cannot beat 106 on the gps.

ive had 116mph on my speedo which was 107 on the sat nav, my car is heavily modified with a panel filter!

its a 1.2 16v

my 1.2 punto will push 110 nearly, with 65bhp.

All the speeds were taken from Parkers guide.

At 100 mph on my GPS my speedo is only 1mph up on it, now thats pretty damn accurate

I know it werent real speed but it i didnt have my sat-nav in at the time so i don't know the actual speed, but it must have been faster than what others are saying like 116mph, or whatever?

I was interested tbh. really was just enquiring. Especially about the VEE. seeing as it had 6 gears and a Big V6 in the back i tought itd reach at LEAST 160 and not only that the acceleration would have been quicker.

Its not like anyone with a clio sport would break the speed limit anyways, theyre made for driving sensibly.

I hit the limiter in mine in 5th.

Was around 125 on the speedo. To be fair I had my foot planted for a few miles and it was down a hill.

I think you'd struggle with the V6s aerodynamics to get there. Although I know nothing so am probably wrong.

125 clocks 120 gps for a ph1 1.4 16v. Autobahn.

I've had mine at about 125 on the GPS iirc. And that actually was on the A5 autobahn to Bern

I see 170 and a tiny bit more in mine, but I didn't post this, my account has been stolen by somone else.

Mine is not standard. A standard v6 is plenty fast enough to gain as many stone chips as you can deal with.

Ive had 114 out of my 1.2 8v downhill on a private road other than that ive got 108 on a flat private road.Probably about 100 on a gps lol
