Vectra V6 Must go down!!!!

Hi all my pal Ronnie has a vectra 2.5 v6 gsi from a standing start my bonnet is just in-front then after 100 he mullers me (172 cup).
This cant be normal can it????:evil:

No he has had 3.0 cams ported and polished headwork custom built manifolds and full s/s system pipercross viper induction kit mo-tek ECU Courtney sport re-map and lightend and balanced flywheel ETC ETC but even so i should be able to muller him shouldnt i??
 
195hp I think they are for the model your most likly going on about.

As speeds climeb hp is the rulling force you might have the advantage at low speeds as its all about power to weight realy but as speeds climbe the drag is the big issue and he wins plus the vactras probably less draggy anyway.

Err no way then if thats all done right he car should probably be faster than you from a stand still as well.

It's a Vectra. As soon as he tries to turn, the game will be over. So what if it pulls a bit harder, anything you lose on the straights will be gained on the brakes and bends.

I had a 98 GSI vectra estate back in 99, yes it would muller a 1*2 after the ton in a straight drag

All down to gearing and aerodynamics.

I had a Volvo S4 creep past me at just over 140 on my private test track. I was 2 up and he was 1 up. If I hadn't braked he wouldn't have passed but the bullet was screaming its nad's off.

At the end of the day, the Clio is the aerodynamic equivalent of the QE2. What seems like a sure fire kill 0-60 may well be a different story 100+.

That was actually on MY private test track. It was my overindulging at lunch that cost us mate. I apologize.

Completely strip your car out, add weight saving items such as fibreglass bonnet , lightweight battery, lightweight buckets.....decent exhaust and remap. Hey presto you will be a decent amount faster to 100 then ease off the throttle .....
