Poll: MOT vs New Tyres

i always dread having new tyres fitted, i just know the garage is going to chew up the edge of my wheels in the process

i know a lot of people dread MOT time

which would you rather have, an MOT or new tyres fitted ?

id rather have an MOT

At the moment i'd rather have new tyres, due to the fact that my 5 spoke 172 wheels are a mess.

At the garage I work at we actually have a non - wheel- contact machine which only touches the tyre, it is however very exepensive and requires specialised training but works really well and wont even mark the wheel

Tyres, the place i went to last did a great job (apart from trying to get the centre caps off with a screwdriver), machine never touched to rim.

i dont mind any as i can get anything done realitivly cheap and i get parts at cost price :rasp:
