I have to use windows at work, given the choice i would use OS X all day long.

anyway i won't be trying it out as i run vista at home, although i might dump it on a laptop to see what the fuss is about. 500mb though i hear....

You won't notice much difference, this is pretty much a tradional SP rolling up fixes without functionality changes.

Yours in a previous beta..

The correct RC version is v3264.

I believe all updates do now? I had problems authenticating my XP when I reinstalled it and it wouldn't let me have any updates, not even the critical security ones.

Think I'll wait for the final SP3 release.

The automatic updates don't require it. You just can't use windows update unless you circumvent it.
