wing repair. worth it??

hi, i have a 6inch crack/split in my passenger side wing, would it be worth gettting it repaired or should i just replace the whole thing?
any idea of a rough price??

well, depends where it is really and how much you can source a 2nd hand wing for.

I'd buy a new one... look around at breakers yards, can get them dirt cheap.
my cars being repaired at the moment, got down here a price of £55 for a new wing

i just got new wing off renault 43 quid plus vat, ( renault garage )

drill a hole in the end of the crack to stop it spreading any ferther then try to melt the crack together with a soldering iron or a hot knife. run some 2k plastic glue down the crack on the inside of the wing and in the hole you drilled then flat the crack on the out side and fill it with a decent body filler/ top stop. flat and primmer that and it should be ready for painting more or less. just make sure you use the right grades of paper to flat the filler and stuff with. at least then if it goes titsup you can still get a replacement wing.
