Setting Up Wireless On Mac

Right.....this is the last thing am gonna post bout the mac i promise lol



Any way.... i have a White Netgear Router That SkyTv gave me i can connect to it through wireless ' airport' no problem....but the annoying thing is every time i start the Mac i have to select my router and type in the wep code....i mean every time.....is there a way to connect it automatically with out having to put the code in ???

Is "remember this network" ticked in airport preferences?

Tick that and it will remember it, make sure you let it store the password in the keychain as well.

Every time i go to set the thing up and put my password in, it says 'connection timeout' after 3 seconds.... but soon as a press cancel it connects ....its fucked up.....might me my router thats causing the grief.... may left me join through password, but not authenticated sessions. stupid thing. why cant it just work :( any way the f**king code is mbedded in my memory now so fuckit

what says 'connection timeout'? That doesn't sound like an airport/wifi problem, that sounds like something a web browser would display.

click on the wifi icon at the top of the page,,,,,,click on the network that you want to join.....asks for password.....puts password in.....status displayed bottom left of the same box says 'connecting' then 'connection timout'............its weird cos soon as i click cancel it connects lol.....this is how am talkingto you guys right now .....
