Induction kit for 1.2?

I'm not after power (otherwise I wouldn't have a 1.2 ) but a bit of noise under the bonnet.

I've been looking at this one at k-tec but not sure if it's worth spending that much, or If I should just get a cone on it's own or even just a replacement panel filter?

Any comments (other than "don't do it you're wasting time" lol)?

if you just want some noise then its not worth going for that at all to be honest that seems a bit pricey i got this one its loud enough http://www.potn.co.uk/renault_c5206_2165_2166_2190.htm not sure what clio you got so choose it out of that lot and it also saves you 30quid petrol money that you will use flooring it to hear the induction noise lol

I had this one on until recently. Made a reasonable noise but as you said power is not an option on a 1.2!

For the price difference I think I'd rather have the kit from K-tec.

What clio you got? I was thinking about a relocation pipe on my 1.2 but thought it would loose too much due to the length the air has to travel

Ahhh ok, all u really need is a 90degree bend, 2 jubilee clips and a cone filter.

Can't decide what brand though.

K&N, Green Cotton or Pipercross.

Well i've had PiperX and K&N in the past, and found PiperX has a louder sound coming from it than the K&N, but i very much prefer the K&N, never tried green cotton tho.

Ive got the pipercross, its a nice sound when you put your foot down.

I wouldnt pay for one new (unless i had the money lying around) wait and get one second hand off ebay for about 30 - 40. Bargain.

bah my insurance is already costing my an arm and a leg, body kit, 17s, tinted windows and after market exhaust. If i try listing another mod especially an engine one they will think im taking the piss lol and i doubt i can afford it. So will be a while before i can think about on off these

When I bought my insurance I notified them I changed the airfilter, plonked a green performance panel in it, then thought well I'm paying to have a modified air filter may as well go the 9 yards and got a bmc cda last night.

If you have the 16v you can have my green performance one?
