PF97 brake pads... SQUUUUUUEEEEELLLL

  340i
Jesus :quiet: is there anyway of quietening that hideous noise they make!!!

I know there metallic pads, so are bound to make some noise, but ive never heard anything like it... they actually seem to get worse?

It goes through me on low speed braking ARRRGGGHHH..

and i have already had a complaint from the neighbours when they are :sleepy: whoops.

Doubt theres much you can do tbh, coppaslip'd the back of the pads? Only only other thing I can think of is to get some of the anti squeel pad that comes on greenstuff pads or similar.

if they are squealing then you have not bedded them in correctly if you can pop over to Stafford i can get them bed in for you they take some work to bed in properly i have has two sets of pf97 pads non of them have never squealed my ferodo DS2500 rear pads make a small amount of nose but the pf97 pads don't make any nose at all

Isn't 'bedding in' pads a myth - in respect of 'taking it east for first few hundred miles' etc blah blah...

I always give mine some stick, drive hard and brake hard from the off - as advised...

Is this what you mean Mr Homer??

there is a correct way to bed the pf97 pads which requires a long strate road and lots braking and a lot of heat build up on the brakes they need to go threw a load of heat cycles to bed them in i have bedded in two Set's of pf97 pads now and they take some heat to get them bedded in
