new V6 splitter

hi guys, just got my hands on a new type splitter for my MK2 V6, what do you think, and what colour should i have it painted.

yes i know what your saying Ali.
this one gives a bit more down force to the front end, with running the rear wing like i am you need the extra down force on the front

no it`s fibre glass the same as the bumper is made of.
fixes to the original holes on the underside of the bumper.
it`s been tested at speeds which suits my driving.
i dont know the cost this is a one off for myself.

A very neat and tidy design, really suits the front.

Is it bonded on also?

no it`s not bonded on i will run some silicon along the edge where it meets the bumper just to give it a nice finish.

thanks mate, the good thing with this also is it`s no lower to the floor than the other type. the wedge part it`s self is on the bumper not lower than it.

That is a very good design then IMO. For those who have lowered Vees it wouldn't make matters even worse. :approve:

i am going to paint it black but i don't know if i should do it mat black, satin black, gloss black or as you say black gold the same colour as the car.
i will be going down our local paint dealer soon and will decide by the time i get there. will post a couple of pictures when it`s painted.

But one question what was the splitter you had on the vee at WSR at Silverstone, cause that look a quality item, looks similar to this but was painted black with a yellow mid engine sticker on it?

hi mossy, the one on the car at WSR was similar but the facing edge of the splitter was stepped this one is more rounded off. and i think it blends in with the front of the car better. just painted it gloss black so will post a couple of pictures sometime tomorrow.

Yes Justin, I am fully aware of what a v6 Clio looks like including splitters and splinters.
