young Sport drivers!?

hi guys. just intrested in how young people are in CS's any type thats a 2 litre.. and how much did you pay for your insurance. intresting to know considering im hopefully getting a 197 early next year.

im weighing up 197 costs at 18. i keep my car in the garage, a good postal adress and 1 years no claims. around 2k?

Just do a quote on any online insurance, change the date so you'd be 18 etc and see how much they say. Obvs its not valid but at least you'd get an idea of the price. Then add a bit more onto it to take into account general insurance inflation etc.

ye ive done it before and i get phone calls and stuff which is annoying, and there naff anyway they weigh up too much for young drivers. im insuring my 1.2 clio this year (january) and then by the time i have enough for my 197 im going to ring them and say ive changed car and pay the increase. that the way you'd do it?

thats a good price tbf, 197's an insurance group lower. so should be looking at the same amount really.

Won't really make much difference tbh, they'd charge you a pro rata amount for the remaining time on the policy so if you change it the next day, you'd maybe save a quid or two, but be careful they don't charge you a policy change fee. Mine was £15ish but I got them to knock it off.

Trick with those insurance quotes is not to use real info lol I never put my real name, numbers or even reg in. And my house number is different (postcode should be the same obviously) and always make sure I tick or not-tick the "contacting you" boxes. I'm sure elephant has probably figured out they're all coming from me lol

i got drive other cars third party, courtesy car if mine is stolen and windscreen cover and all the legal cover etc included!

i was happy excess is 250 aswell!

Why don't you just put in the anticipated details on a couple of car insurance sites to get a reference rather than asking a general question on the forum. The reason being, there are so many variables that you cannot get an objective idea from asking others imo.

This is miles ahead of the >£6000 i was getting from everyone else that would insure me

24 - 2 years ncb - fully comp with my gf 19 as a provisional holder driver - £900. includes personal death cover too. thought that was worth £20 extra seen as my 182 is a death trap

Im in Glasgow and 22, my 172 is costing me £1000.16 to insure F/C.

Resonable enough for what it is i suppose, insurance is arse from elbow up here. Id be £890 to be insured on a 2003 Audi S3.

Meant to add, my family have a multi car policy that saved us nearly £890 for 5 cars
