Video Camera - VERY HIGH QUALITY

Im interested in buying a VERY highquality video camera,
(like ones they use in films)

does anybody have any experiance or knowledge about them?
 
I know a fella that works as a TV producer, if you tell me what you'll be using it for I could ask his advice?

Yes I have loads of experiance and for £1650 you can have a PD-170. I have two still for sale.

What do you want them for? give me more info and I'll point you in the right way.
 
looking into film making, cba going into detal just yet but it would be used to create a movie, prefrably something of v good quality
 
the ones that the BBC use (HD Digital Betacam) are around £60-£80k...

Not sure about the ones they use for films.. I expect maybe a tad more tbh
 
they use film and lenses soo expensive you wonder if they are real, I can point you in the direction of cheep hire but then you still have to process and telecine.
 
Sony are releasing a Camera called the 'Webby'.

HD recorder, surround sound, and can store 16 hrs of video on its HDD - oh and its TINY!!
