911 Gaz. Right guys, a bit complicated here.
My dad wants to insure the 911 but has another car for work. He initially wanted to insure the 911 with a separate company but has been told by a separate company (Kwik Fit in this case) that he couldn't carry over his full no claims bonus from his other car to the 911 and was subsequently quoted a silly amount of money (with me added).
We have no knowledge of multi-car policies...is this a way he could insure both cars on the one policy, include me as a named driver on the 911 AND ensure I am FULLY COMP on it?
Also, if he was to go down that route, would his current company refund him any outstanding money?
Finally, any multi-car policy insurance companies you can suggest?
Cheers,
Martin
Thats true.
If he is using the NCB on one car he cannot use it on another in this case the 911.
So any policy he would start on that would be 0 NBC.
BUT as you say about Multi Car policy. Its not another policy as such, it depends if the insurer offers it.
Tesco, who i am with offer this as do direct line and a good few others.
What they do is give you a discount for having another car insured with them. But they dont give you extra NCB. What they do is match the discount sometimes.
Only way to do this is to ring and check who he is insured with. Maybe run thru a quote online.
But once he has the new policy, you should have no problem being added to that. Dependign on your age etc... might be expensive tho, seeing as its an expensive car.
If he has to move to another company, he should be able to cancel his current policy but would loose this NCB earned for this year and may nto get back a substantial amount from them.
