I've had my 182 for 2 1/2 years and never have bothered changing any speakers in it even though I was really into my Audio/Visual in my previous car but have decided I would like to change the std speakers for some aftermarket one's,
I'm not looking for any Subs or 6x9's just straight replacement s for what are already there and I will be runnig them of the Std HU aswell as cba to change it,

Anyone advise me on some components up front and mids for the rear that are good vfm as I've not looked in years,

Cheers
Andy.

I'd be quite interested to see what people suggest.

The standard speakers just get ridiculously distored at loud volumes

Using the renault Hu or aftermarket?

I'd just get some mdf baffels under them. I ran some DLS speakers for a while, but put the standard ones back in, and tbh for just whacking some baffels under them do well.

Is it worth amping the front oem speakers? The distortion is probably down to poor amp in the oem head unit. Remember fitting aftermarket components with out changing the amp will result in quieter sound.

if you want a straight plug and play jobby then get the pioneer custom components for clio and megane, depends entirely on your budget and whether you intend to amp or not also

Was kinda hoping not to Amp but if I need to then I will,
In my old car I had an Alpine HU 4x55 Watt IIRC, 600 Watt Holywwod Multi Channel Amp, Holywood 1000 Watt Amp, Kinetic Front Components, Cheap 6x9's rated at 200 Watt I think, 15" Excursion Sub and a 1 Farad Power cap and was always more than happy with the Sound fromn that but th cost a good whack more than I want to spend on the Audio this time

What Size Speakers will I need for Fronts and Rears?

Fancy pricing up some options for me Matt? :)

Not looking to spend a Fortune but enough to get a good crisp sound, I listen to alot of R&B and Hip-Hop but also a bit of everything else

Get some mdf baffles in there to give the speakers a better, more secure mounting.

Id reccomend these: http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/pioneer-tsq131c-renault-p-5922.html
They are made for renaults so you dont even have to crimp any cables, just plug them in.

They will be ok without an amp. Id suggest getting and fitting them then sseing how you like it. If you want them beeter then amp them up and you will be amazed and how much better they sound.

I'm not really too sure on Budget TBH, I don't want to spend 1k but I also want a decent quality and volume, Say £200ish for Front and Rears? Could go higher if needed.

if your budget is 200 quid you can either get an amp and comps for the front and leave rears off, or IMO spend 150 on comps for the front and 50 on coax's for the back. trust me mate you will want to amp them as 150quids speaks are gonna be good and using a hu to power them is a real waste. If your gonna be using the headunit just go for 60quid comps as i bet you wont be able to tell the differnce.

Spoke with the GF and she has agreed to buy the Speakers for me for my Birthday so if she buys them then if I feel the need I will buy an Amp but I will just try them without first as I'm not looking for earth shattering volumes been there and done that already.
