how do u remove the plastic bit around the handbrake

  172 Cup
Just pulls up - I just shove some parcel tape sticky side down into the gaps between the handbrake and the chairs, run a flat screwdriver head over it and then lift the tape back up - does quite a good job of getting rid of all the oose that gets stuck down there!

mines got 2 torx screws at the back of it, nearer the rear seats.

Undo them, torx 20 i think, and then it just pulls up over the handbrake.

Good to take off, looooads of crap gets in that gap and cant be hoovered without taking it off lol

  ALBI 197 Sonic MKII
Mine in y 182 just pulls up. Some times at lights i play at pulling it up lol.
You and me both, or the plastic around the actual handbrake stick. Although that's sometimes a panic as it's quite hard to push back on, especially when the lights change suddenly.

I always have cuts on my hand from doing this (the bit around the handbrake itself)

I never learn
