How to Install a Subwoofer

My first official post

I have just upgraded my headunit to a JVC 801 and have now decided to get a VIBE: SQ8 as the depth is quite small an wont take up much boot room.

However the only thing I have wired in my car are new speakers and that was just a case of takign old ones out, cutting wires and sticking them back to the new speakers. Wasent very hard.

However, I have looked about for instillation guides for installing a Subwoofer and I dont have a clue.

I am looking for a guide or a video. For a Clio MKII if possible on how to wire the subwoofer. It is active so I dont need to worry about the amp so much.

But advice on the best place to run cabels, where to ground it, how to get it to the battery and protect the wires as they go though the fire wall.


Any help is great.

power lead from the battery through the bonnet release gromit(under glovebox)run the power lead down the left side of the car,the rca leads down the right side with the remote lead for the amp..and earth it to the seat bar in the boot..cant remember what its called...............job done

yes,i did mine in under an hour....take your time though if its the first time youve done this...
