Puncture repair cans

Anyone here had the unfortunate experiences of getting a flat and using that foam stuff?

Yup and it was a waste of time. Plus the guy at the tyre place I took the meggy to said they create more mess and are pointless to use.

its a temp measure rather than a repair for the record, just incase you were unaware.

they do the job to get you to a tyre repair centre. As dave said.

Oh yeah im fully aware its a temp job, i just wondered cos I can see me having to use it 1 day and and Ill completely c**k it up lol

you carry a can as in 1?

it takes two cans to do 1 tyre

I had a blowout once, side wall gone. looked at the can and knew i was F****d. 2hr wait for the AA to get replacement.

also carry a spare tyre can is a last line effort

Err. i'm driving round without the full spare and no repair can in 172! LOL
Knock on wood never had a puncture...

Peoples with a 182, dual centre exhaust don't carry a spare either...

And yes the can is for temp. use only.

182's come with 2 cans due to them not having a spare though.
