Fancied a change

More tyre shine has been applied since these photos.

I also have the centre caps in black, just waiting for the yellow OZ decal.

Cheers guys.

Yeh standard wheel bolts, they had gone rusty so gave them a rub down when I swapped them over.

Sprayed them myself with rattle cans, just to see if I liked it. These were a spare set, in fact they are not the renault F1's. Finish to them is quite good though, spent hours rubbing them down, they were in a bit of a state with both curbing and corrosion.

The tyres are 45's instead of 50's (what it had before), and even though only 5mm has made the arch gap look bigger. It's lowered on Sportlines.

sounds like you put some effort in by doing them yourself, but it has payed off, look awesome, great work

cheers for the the comments.

No worries at all Daz, I should have told you they had been refurbed, nice meeting you anyway!

Hah, yeh a black car with black wheels would be pretty awful!;)

I did think about matt, but at the last minute opted for gloss.

Just finishing the centre caps today, so I'll get some pics up.

With or without tape?

I think I prefer without.

ordered the centre cap decals off ebay.

Tyres will get replaced if i keep the wheels. but there is plenty of tread on them.

I think I prefer it with the tape, less need for constant tyre blacking. Need to see the whole car to be sure.

yeh i'll do all the wheels and get some pics up.

Are these non-gen 172 wheels? There's no lip round the outside :S

The fact they have OZ racing stamped in the rim should give that away Daniel, how many years did you work as a salesman for Renault? ;)

no they're not the renault f1's, same offset but needed spiggot rings.

Got them all on now and they are growing on me, easy enough to just take off aswell. But to be fair, a nightmare to put on!
