Light weight material for making rear door cards?

Hardboard is whats used in my mk1. Weighs the grand total of f**k all.

Covered in black acoustic carpet so looks factory too.

Can you get rear carbon cards? The front carbon ones for £90 odd quid on ebay are decent.

Black bin liners would give a better finish then, make sure they're recyclable ones too!

You can but the ones i found are £100 and i don't see the point. I have found real carbon fibre sheets on ebay with adhesive backing so just gonna stick that over the hardboard.

If they're real carbon fibre would you need the hardboard?!?

Yeh its only 1mm thick and flexible. Although that costs £20 a sheet and i'd need one per side so might be cheaper just getting Carbon Fibre.


the cards in mine are only about 1mm thick, the rears are bonded in and the fronts are fastened with sticky back velcro.

speakers are for homo's ;)

Mine (when I put them back on) are 1mm F1 grade prepreg carbon.

Dont use any backing mate....
