I know this is an old thread, but its th only one i could find which concerns my qustion.
Could anyone give me a rough wiring diagram of how to wire Two cooling fans which will come on at the same time as the HU? Is a realy absolutely necessary?
Thanks
so moving air is just as warm as still air :S dont think so
Sorry to be a geek but moving air is just as hot as the same air if it was still.
The air will only change temperature if it moves over something hot or something cool. As an example office fans are useless as all they are doing is moving hot air around the room. In a closed room a fan would actually cause the room to very gradually heat up due to the heat from the electric motor.
However installing a fan in a hidden floor is nesscessary, as in you have to think of both areas as being separate and hence you are moving hot air (from under the boot floor) into an area of cool air (the boot).
Yes but.. Example:
When still you might have 1litre of air. Which can carry xJoules of heat energy.
With circulating fans you have say.. 50litres of air.. and many more x's of joules of heat energy which could be carried away by the air.

(Boot volume)Only if the air has somewhere to go. If not your 50 litres of air will soon heat up.
