He's been in a couple of times so you will have probably seen it actually.

You can see your car finished soon :)

brilliant to see a happy customer from this build! can't compain on that price either, should sell really well. good work!

power delivery is really smooth, pulls all the way through, coz its not a turbo you get no lag whatsoever. When it hits about 5 grand where the stock engine kicks in it really throws you back in the seat! power is on tap, whatever gear your in!

  White Evo V
If you guys look in the media ection in about 10 mins im gunna put some quick snaps up that I took today, nothing special cos the car was still dirty but im sure a few people wanna see it!? Il prob get some better snaps tomorrow at TRAX

hows the petrol hitting you now then?

cant really tell yet tbh, havnt driven it steady much since getting it back, its just too much fun to drive slow! I put £20 of v-power in last night and its done 75 miles so far but needs some more in now. I reckon driven steady you will see similar mpg to the standard car.

Sounds like alot of pro's and no con's!

Whats the insurance company saying?

Would there be any further increase in power if adding cams to the engine along with the SC conversion?

each to there own !

Not sure about anyone else but with that supercharger on a clio i could get insured for around £700-£800......i couldn't get a quote for an Evo or a skyline for under £2000 when i tried and that was as standard so going by that the supercharger pays for itself in three years, try modifying those other cars and the insurance goes sky high. not to mention the unwanted attention those cars can bring.

But like you say, each to their own :)

i wanna know if its going to be reliable to do 100+ ‘ring laps and 10 ish track days in 12 months...

Bound to put extra stress on internals but many kit car builders use stock 2.0L honda vtec engines and supercharge them with no problem, Renault would have had to build the RS engines with a degree of tolerance which should accomodate an extra 60 or 70bhp without too many problems.

  RS RIP
mind the warming up + cooling down with these and you'll live happily ever after i'm guessing

Because some folk want a quicker Clio. Anyone can go out and buy a quicker car but wheres the fun in that?

^^^ also its something unique....well for now.

Its not something quicker car owners expect when a clio sport pulls at the side of them and somehow gets away from them when usually they wipe the floor with them

i see what you say its like a uno turbo running 200bhp but its still a uno . when i had a 200sx running 376bhp the fun was playing with the bigger boys 911s , amg's and see the look on there faces when u stay or pull away from them ?> but supercharger sounds good for the fun factor .

any videos?

^^^^Think Danny was meaning more on the lines of ''wolf in sheeps clothing'' rather than ''its very quick but its still ONLY a Clio''

2 different meanings ;)

I'm seriously thinking about this kit.

I got quoted 515 by Adrian Flux for 250 bhp limit with a super charger.

What cars can you get for say 7k (3k for my old cup + 4k for the charger) that have a better power to weight ratio, circa 250 bhp/tonne.

Plus with the clio it is mechanically cheap to fix and if I destroy it in an event or on a track day I'd hope a lot of the parts would be salvageable to just bolt onto a new clio.

  172 - 249bhp @ the wheels

Clio will be far quicker than a 300bhp Coupe and imo far less hideous to look at.

As for the other cars, buy them and compare the running costs and then see if it's false economy. You ever tried running and servicing a Skyline or Evo? It's another world.

How is the clutch, gearbox, drive shafts holding?

How much time does it take to make a conversion?

Do you issue any form of a certificate or any legal document that would help me with certification / MOT as if I go this way I would like to make it all legit and road legal in my county - Croatia.

Do you give any warranty?

What is the MPG?

Where exactly are you located?

You come highly recommended Paul and some people that I know did some business with you so would you please answer there few question and help me with my decision?

Thank you

Sorry, i appreciate that you directed this post at paul but what are the legal requirements in Croatia as far as modifying a car is concerned, as far as the MPG is concerned thats down to you and your left foot.

pedals are the same regardless of where the steering wheel is!

yeah! LOL at previos post :D

Requirement to make a car road legal in Croatia? Well it is similar to AFAIK Germany where each part that is not OEM must have a valid TUV certificate or a similar one. Thats just one part of the story as you need to go through an inspection that then decides is your car eligible to be allowed to drive on a public roads. They can be very strict on this and but it is not impossible. Luckily police is not so strict on this at the moment but as we move towards membership in the EU they will be.
