iPhone isues

  Fiesta ST2
folks, my girlfriends brother bought an iphone from ebay adverted as having a cracked screen but working 100% so I replaced the screen for him and now from what I can see I think the IMEI number has been blocked (phone been clocked as lost or stolen). anyone have any ideas? I know that on the phone software 1.1.4 you could change the IMEI number (Yes I know its illegal...) but you cannot with the 3.1.2 the latest iphone software. Does anyone work in O2 (or any mobile network carrier) that can check if the phones blacklisted the IMEI number is 011774006461336. again any other ideas would be great i've tried using all the programs like ultrasnow to unlock it etc but im still stuck... advise if possible cheers folks

You are fucked, it will work as an ipod touch.

If you post anything else about changing the IMEI i'll ban you.

Imei changing is illegal and can result in inprisonment. I take it seriously.

Your joking right?

Murderers get less than that.

Jenic thats what i thought, seems scare tactics to try and cut down the amount of dodgy mobiles being used.

Imagine clogging up the jails due to people changing IMEI numbers while people are mugging old grannys etc.

What a joke..

P.s Adam, is there not any one man mobile phone shops around your way (not big high street names) that may do it for you ?

Only problem is if 2 phones have the same imei, the networks can detect this and block that imei (both phones).
