We both need a chassis notch badly so we can get lower on the front.

Roofracks have become a sort of Scene thing, a lot of people just put them on for looks. I actually use mine hence why its scratched to buggary LOL.

No offence, but this have just been done to death. The wheels on the Golf is not very original. I like some of the scene cars, but only when there is something new and and original elements about it. A roof rack and generic wheels just doesn't do it for me.

I'm sorry, people put roof racks on their cars for the looks? What?

do you live in some mental parallel universe or something?

(I think I already know the answer to that)

Not all of us have £££ to throw at cars. If some nice wheels come up for a good price why not? But I see your point.

Things have moved on since badboy bodykits and ragging hatchbacks around carparks. It's all grown up y0 lol.

I can of course respect the budget thing. And iam sure your car will evolve further, it has allready come pretty far

Golf looks amazing! Bora is average I suppose ;)

Agree with the roof rack thing. Why is it there if it's not used. Ph-reebone has one on his as he has a bike (if I'm not mistaken). Do you have a bike?

Roof rack suits the Bora, doesn't matter if its used or not.

The Golf however does not suit it, it's more along the Hellaflush route...

Will's all like "oh look at me, I roll with the big dogs" ;)

Car's both look good, I'm not too fussed if it's "been done" doesn't change that it looks nice.

What does the bora's roof rack get used for? Surely there's space for anything in the back!!? lol

I like them. I've just taken my roofrack off the VAG bus, as it's only used for the surfboard... and its too bloody cold to surf now.

If I put it back on, can I be part of the cool gang?

My Boot is filled with a Sub and amp, and LOTS of random crap. LOL. The boot has a height limit if you think about it. And as I said I do use the rack, have used it for things like pallets, crates of beer, and mostly bikes (Hence my bike rack).

A roofrack is just one of those things, you don't realise how useful it is until you actually have one. Just little things like taking trips to the tip are so much easier now, don't have to go back and forth can get it all down there in one go! Also if I want to take my bike anywhere I don't have to dismantle it and clear out everything from my car, i just plonk it on the roof and away I go.

Also suits the whole look. haha.

I agree'd with most of it, but actually nearly pissed myself at carrying a crate of beer on the roof, as if you can't fit it in your five door saloon.... <3

I dont get it....what that slanty thing on the front of the golf with what looks like sticker on it

It makes me laugh that roof racks are currently the 'fashion statement'

/feels old

I'm more of a OEM+ kind of person unless you have loads of money to spend on wheels/smoothing etc. I actually like the Bora, though I feel that stickers mate the car look tacky. Get rid of them and it would be a really nice car. Golf looks alright, but def needs the roof bars taken off and destickered. Also needs orange side repeaters in the bumper instead of tinted ones, again making it a little OEM+/US style.

Pallet on roof, then several crates of beer on top. Car was full of camping gear! HAHA Looked jokes.

The "Slanty thing" Is a wind deflector pmsl.

A few of the stickers on the actual bodywork are covering scratches or chips! LOL. But the ones on the window are there as I likes em :) Next car will be a lot more clean looking, smoothing is gay and old.
