Essex Christmas meal - Cancelled :-(

As Brian rightly said at the meet yesterday it's about time we got an idea of how many of us would be up for the Christmas meal.

Last year Brentwood was apparently a good location for everyone so I'll probably book something in that area.

Definitely think it should be a traditional xmas dinner though so was thinking the Toby Carvery?

Looking at a weekend early December.

Thoughts/suggestions?

See what people think, as it's always a struggle to please everyone but hopefully everyone likes a Beefeater, Harvester, Toby type place.

I'll 100% be there

There will come a stage when a deposit will be required too

That's right I spoke to the toby carvery to see what the deal would be and a £5pp deposit would be required to secure the booking so will sort out who's up for it and will get it sorted at the chosen venue.

Really why's that sash? Has it not worked in the past?

I can have a ring around and find out but I think we'll find most places require a small deposit to secure the booking.

Its worked in the past, dont worry about that. Its just i have no job or income at the moment thats all!

Ah that sucks!

Looking at a weekend early December maybe 11th or something like that but once a preferred restaurant is agreed
upon then i'll look at sorting a date :)

I'm not the biggest fan of Christmas/roast dinners anwyay, so I couldn't care less, just coming for the banter tbh.

EDIT: Just noticed, so far not one "normal" user has posted in here, lol! Coloured name crew!

Excuse me, hippy. My endless pot of gold is drying up. It's been a damn expensive month, and next month is going to be even more expensive (ok maybe not so...) as I'm moving to .. wait for it...

I would of Come.. but i will prob be doing christmas Dinners myself that evening.. Running a Bar and all... Fail..!

Tbh.. Im normally fed up with Turkey By Christmas as ive been eating it for the last month before christmas! lol

Well I reckon the weekend before Xmas will be stupidly busy so the cs meal is probably best on Saturday 4th December.

If we could have all £5.00 deposits in by Friday 26th Nov then I will make a few calls and get us booked in!

So anyway let's get a definite list going...

I'm not impressed giraffe boy! just kidding, they may make you get a spray tan as your initiation into your first Essex night out as a resident lol!
