Some mad offers on Steam at the minute....

The Witcher is up for 3.25, well worth getting if you haven't already played it

Just noticed that that's the Enhanced Director's Version as well. I actually sourced that off Play after weeks of searching last year and I think I paid around £20 for it. I agree, a very good game.

Is it worth me getting the FEAR pack (I've never played it?)

It's not bad at all, even though I haven't completed it fully. Roy Munson is the F.E.A.R guru on here, however. It did have some epic features like bullet-time and stuff on its release - plus with the current hardware you've got, you'll be able to apply all the eye-candy as the developers intended. I'd recommend it.

Bought Just Cause 2 for a fiver.

I need to be careful how much I'm downloading here, don't wanna get my internet bottlenecked by abusing the fair usage policy lol.

If they do, my excuse is Steam have too many good offers to pass up.

Glad I did too. Put a couple of hours into it today - much, much better than the original game. Love the over-the-top attitude to it. :)

star wars knights of the old republic... works on the laptop... £1.50 - winner!

I think this is where some of the Steam offers are getting a 2nd lease of life. Most laptops can easily handle the likes of KOTOR now and they are great to play while the missus is watching Corrie/Eastenders, etc. :)

That King Arthur is a good Total War Medieval/Rome clone. Loads of 'backroom' options to it like providing 'ladies in waiting' for your Knights of the Round Table - lol.

My friend bought me Just Cause 2 in the sale for Christmas. I wasn't expecting much at all, but I'm loving it. Its a lot like Far Cry 2, but without the boring "I have to drive everywhere to get to an objective". Also, the ability to fly helicopters and planes is pretty cool.

I've played a good 7-8 hours on it already, and I've only completed 8%... The objectives get harder as you go along, so I'm pretty sure the game won't get boring.

Also, they discounted Arkham Asylum further... b*stards!

Same here. According to the stats, I'm 5% through it with about 7 hours of game time. They really have cherry-picked good features from many games. Like you mention with Farcry 2 - especially with that little warning 'radar' in the top left corner that tells you when you're near a pickup package. Some of the black market items are great - especially when you unlock the very useful C4 explosive. Pay him $30k and along comes the chopper to drop some off. :) Have you tried that Tuk-Tuk Boom-Boom yet in the black market vehicles? Superb piece of kit that and a laugh to use.

The only small gripe I have is that I'm leaving a lot of places about 92-96% complete because there's one small package/item to blow up nearby that I haven't found. It does get a bit tedious hunting down that last piece, but apart from that, it's great. Have you done the mission for the Ulars yet where you destroy the three satellites on the launch pads? That was a great mission. :)

hmm, Sniper £7.50, unsure.

I wouldn't bother m8 - haven't played it, but I did hear that it was dire.

I agree with you about leaving certain places with only ~90% done... certainly frustrating for me, especially as I have OCD :rasp:

I've not really used the C4... mainly because I have no idea how to select it then use it! Help a brother out please? Not used the Tuk-Tuk yet... I bought one small jet plane thing, but when it got delivered it was facing a wall and I couldn't reverse it. I couldn't even afford another vehicle to drag it away :(

I did the Ular satellite mission last night, it was good fun. I also found out that Q was the melee button. I don't know how I lived without it!

Edit: One thing I feel it needs is a co-op mode, like in Saints Row 2. Its great fun doing the missions, but I feel it would be even better if you had someone else to play it with. You could do some mad fly-bys ;)

You map a key to the grenade choice - mine's set to Page Dn as I'm an old skool arrow keys player - none of this AWSD key malarky! ;) When you throw a pack of C4 it sticks to whatever it hits and you can throw multiple ones onto a target. Walk away and hold down the same key (again, Page Dn for me) and KABOOM!

Yep, a co-op mode in this would be awesome - even if you had to stick together within a certain radius/do the same missions together, etc.
