As title, car wont start cranks a couple of times then dies off. Plugged my scanner into it tells me there is a fault with the decoder ring... This will be a reno job? As the keys will need to be coded to the new ring etc?

Only just got the f*cker back yesterday, was perfectly fine till now :dapprove:

whats the immobiliser light doing ?
check for water ingress into the engine fuse board , esp where the relays are.

Iv managed to get hold of a second hand decoder ring and key, it will only start when the key is near the ring, also only one of my keys starts it the other wont, until the my other key has started it.

is there any way i can "code" my keys to this decoder ring? or am i going to have to buy a new one?
