Is the LED flashing on the rear really any use? I keep my phone front side up when on a desk. I won't see it.

Loving quite a few of these new features. From what I have read...

Wireless iTune Sync isn't enabled in Beta 1 and you can regiester for iCould i.e setup a me.com email but you cant access any of the data yet i.e from your Mac, this will probably be available once Lion is released.

Really pleased I got it now, it seems quicker aswell

Automatic Downloads feature is pretty neat aswell.

Purchased an App from within iTunes on thew MBP and it was sync to my iPhone within seconds! I can see this being really useful when used across multiple devices.

The 'never need a Mac or PC' statement has got me in a proper pickle!

As you can see here (http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?582924-13-quot-MBP-Will-I-regret-it) I am on verge of purchasing a MBP when Lion is launched. The question now is do I actually need one? Steve is telling me that maybe I don't, but I'm thinking that I do?

Is Steve wrong???

They make 21.5" iMacs without the stand now. They have capacitive touch screens and the choice of a black or white border.

Yes, you no longer need a computer in order to fully use or activate a iOS device.

Cheers for that. I was taking it literally and thinking about trying to manage all of my 'computing' from iOS devices. The MBP is definitely still on cards.

It's a great feature in principle but it doesn't work on the iPhone 4. Hopefully the next generation will have a more BB style LED.
