what is the cause?

It was a Cold damp day as soon as I started my car hazard light come on which looked like a Rectangle box with zig zag and the loss of power when revs. Could be damp gone into the sparks plugs or coil pack?

Warning light I meant it was on the dash display.

Its the ESP light.

It means you are loosing traction on the cold damp road, wheels started to spin, ESP kicked in and killed the power.

Its not the ESP light, its the electrical warning light.

yes ur right i learnt that with the clios when damp and cold weather kicks this light turns up but goes later when engine is warmed up a bit. or i can try some wd 40 to maybe seal the electrical connectors
