Audio Help/Advise Please

Hello!

I need a little help with my car audio, i've noticed that when i have my ipod connected or am playing a CD in my car a song that has quite a heavy bass the driver side speaker seems to make a rattling noise which is quite annoying. So i thought i would investigate and took the front plastic cover thing off and surprisingly found a pioneer speaker!

Now the perivious owner must have put these in as i am sure they're not standard? ...are they?

Can anyone give me some advice as to how to power these front speakers so i can get the full purpose from them. Will an amp be enough? or Sub? OR does anyone know of some good sub & amp packages.

At home i am used to using Beats Audio and the sound quality is fantastic ...i would love to get a similar sound quality/set up in my car so if anyone could help it would be great!

This is the picture of the speaker in the front: View attachment 79621

Im no expert but get some vibe slicks to replace the front and rear speakers powered by a vibe slick amp. Then stick a sub in the boot. Wallop.

no their not standard. yes an amp would be good enough to run them. but dont run the speakers on the same amp as a sub as theyll be to much bass going through speakers or not enough through sub.

If they're already rattling, putting more power through them using an amp is only going to make them rattle more!
Sounds like its the usual shoddy renault plastic mounting position making the door card vibrate against the metal door.

If you do want amp you'll need a two channel amp to power a pair of speakers. A single channel amp will only power a sub.
That vibe amp/sub package is only a mono amp, so will only be able to power the sub.

If you are seriously considering an amp, you want to match the RMS ratings (in watts) of the amp (per channel) to the RMS ratings (in watts) of the speakers.

  Listerine & Poledo
pioneer / Hertz componenets in the front, run off of a 2-channel amp.

Sub in the boot.

that's how I'd do it.

Yeah good point I guess, don't really know a lot about this kind of stuff so just thought fitting an amp or something would take it away from the front speakers. Okay thanks for the advice mate I'll have a shop around. Can you recommend best place to buy from? I see that halfords isn't liked much on here lol.
