emissions light

  RB Clio 182
Hi, i had my springs fitted today and the lad that fitted them for me told me my exhaust was a decat, i didnt mind as i like the loudness and my mot isnt due for 11 month.

So today on the motorway on a long run, the orange emissions light popped up, now this didnt bother me as i knew it would be because of the decat, anyway on the previous cars i have owned i would simply take the negative lead off the battery and it would reset it, but on the 182 it didnt.

Does anyone know how to get rid of the light as i cant stand warning lights on my dash, ill probably get a sports cat fitted too to keep it off.

Thanks for any help,Tom.

Buy a code reader off ebay that you can plug in and turn the light off?
I dont own a 182 with a decat but I bought one recently for about 22 quid to get my engine light off after cleaning my throttle body and its not appeared since then, would imagine it would work with yours too

Might go off by itself after a few drives....Mine did but has stayed on as of late.

I got it plugged in and its the downstream lambda sensor.
