T fault onboard dash - injector fault?

  Liquid Yellow 182
Ive been having problems with my fuel and temp guage. Car wants to drink fuel like its going out of fashion nd my temp guage is sitting 2 lines from half way. Bought new thermostat which shud fix temp. Just did onboard diag and got error letter t, which is injector fault? Could this be why my car is using alot of petrol?

Is it misfiring?

You ideally need it plugged in properly. Could be anything from

Coil pack
Leads
Plugs
Injector
Coolant sensor
Map sensor

The "t" doesn't specifically mean there's a fault with an actual fuel injector per say. Just at some point the instrument cluster has been unable to recieve the injector flow info via CAN. There could be a number of reasons why it is using more fuel and really it needs proper diagnostics to see whats occuring in the live data parameter map screens.

It could be a coolant temp issue, u/s lamda, map or air temp issue... maybe a combination of one or more.

The RAC diagnostics will not pick it up.

I had a massive misfire turned out to be an injector, but we saw an RAC bloke in garage and just asked to do a diagnostics and it didn't come up with anything!
