Clio 1.2 jacking point for front and back?

  Suzuki Ignis Sport
Can somebody take a picture to show me where I can safely jack up the car without going through the bottom! I'll be using a 2 ton trolley jack, thank you.

for the front use the beam under the car and for the rear I always use the middle of the rear beam axle.

if you look underneath behind the front wheel you will see a square beam, its pretty obvious, just jack it up on that.

Near the ball joints and such? Can you label a diagram for me? Be easier! There's that much to choose from and I don't want to make the wrong choice.

Noo not on the ball going mate if you follow the lower arm from the back of the car looking at the front wheel , follow the arm and where it meets the big metal subframe , normally works okay on the back bolt of the lower Arm

I mean near it haha. I think I know what you mean. It looks like a metal surround.

Step away from the Jack!!. If you cannot work out or see where to jack it up, I would be very worried. Not saying you have to be a top mechanic to do this, but if you are able bodied, and have full sight, you should be able to work it out.

I can't see that topic James28, can you screenshot the main bits and PM it me? or send me the direct links to the images? It's alright saying, step away from the jack but the jacking points just seem to bend. They're like foil. I'm just making sure I get the right place before I start trying to lift the car up, don't want to go through the floor. Thanks guys! :)

The chassis rails don't seem wide enough to me, I had my car slip off the jack after using them. So now I only use the rear of the subframe where the bolt can fit inside the jack for security.

I see. I think someones used that plate you can see to the left of the picture. What is that? It's a hexagon shape. Will definitely try there mate.

That's good news then! What's that part called then? The chassis rail? So I'd put the axle stand beside the jack as close as possible? Thanks guys!

And when using axle stands, should always have a leg pointing to the outside. To stop it toppeling over when jacking up the other side.

What i was always told anyway. In my eyes that pic with the blue axle stands is actually wrong.

In your first picture on the right hand side next to the ARB there is a bolt head which I use for the jack then the chassis rail for the axle stand, personal preference though
