Quick remote central locking question

  Blk/Gold 182 FF
Hey, just a quick one here, tonight , went out to the car and pressed the fob. Nothing happened. Luckily the car was already unlocked so I opened it and tried the button on the dash and it locked the doors. So central locking works, but the fob doesn't.

Any ideas? I've tried holding down the button on the dash but nothing happens. This also happens with my spare key!

Has anyone got an idea or has this happen? Gonna go out and try a few things now

1 Get in the car and shut the door
2 Press and hold the Locking button that's on the centre console/dash
3 The doors will lock (keep holding down the button) after a few seconds the doors will unlock, release the button
4 Now use a key fob button to lock and unlock,
5 Now use the second keyfob to lock and unlock
(if it doesn't work for the 2nd just do steps 1 to 3 then use this keyfob to lock and unlock)

My fob does it fairly often, I'm guessing it's down to needing a battery replacement (in the fob) or a sloppy fit inside the casing.

Keys often need re-initialising after disconnecting the car battery too

Apparently if there is equipment operating nearby using a similar radio frequency to the fobs this can also cause issues

Oh and if the car battery is 'tired' and only holding a lower voltage, or the voltage is dropping, that can cause issues too
