Hi chaps just a few pics of Foz's lovely Golf R. Really is a lovely looking thing and great colour for it. Apologies before hand. My phone died, having some charging issues! Fml!

Menzerna, G1, Nanolex on trim and CQUK, Reload to finish pretty much. C&C as always chaps.

Very smart! Black cars with fresh silver wheels is always a great look!

Could still never pay for a Golf R though when it's a similar price to an Audi S3!

Looks lovely, I'm ashamed to say it but I know very little about the R line. What are the small black plastic items in the front arch, spoils the lines of the car for me.

Even Foz found them strange. Similar to the QS TT rear spats. Weird addition.

Agreed on the R line. I don't really understand it. Isn't a well spec'd one nearly 40k new?

Lovely job.

50/50 shots look like the gloss black door trims? Lovely seeing the results on those.

Yeah mate. Remembered towards the end of the detail I had a camera in the office.

If you notice they're on all new cars only most are moulded into the bumper.

something to do with stopping water splashing up into the car behind

As above, they're spray flaps for the cars behind.

Average Gallister, your detailing skillz and the car... ;)

Shiiiit boys got skills! cheers again for the work and the advice! Absolutely faultless!

as for pricing, mines with the spec it has costs 38k (I didn't pay that as its not brand new) as it currently sits I'm missing the adaptive chassis control and possibly 1 other extra

Anyway it's got 5 bhp more haha and IMO it looks a hell
of a lot better

Is this yours pal? May I just ask why you chose this over an S3?

Thanks for all the kind comments guys. And most importantly Michael. Car now looks like it should.

Really shows what a decent detail can do in transforming the look of a car imo.

I'd like to apologise for the Flickr links. Laptop is shat spec so done the write up on the iPad hence the shitty tapatalk issues when looking at pics.

Zzzubaru Impreza pics up soon. One I done for Scott ages ago. Stunning colour.

Always liked the golf r since it was released.
Now I've had the chance to own one so I decided I'd do it.

s3 are also super common up here
i understand that golf Rs are quite common down south but
They seem to be rather rare round about my way

I've only ever seen 1 other one mate apart from yours.

there is a rep going about my bit.
Its missing the rear lights and the brakes but other than that its pretty good. Its not a golf R colour of course lol

Someone else has bought a Black R about 20 minutes away. doesn't have recaros though :rasp:

Probably how common they are in comparison, I reckon? I hardly ever see any of the R's tbh around here.

That said, it still looks too understated - certainly from any sort of distance. For all that performance and fancy trickery underneath, I would have thought VAG would make the exterior that bit more special. Twin pipes and a small R badge aren't enough imo.

Top work to gally's crew there - night & day difference in the results....

D.

yeah i understand what you are saying. S3's look so amazingly good.........

God work gally.

I really like black cars but as daily runners they are crap to keep nice.

Cheers again guys. Really happy with the pics aswell. Got 2 more details to pop up from ages ago.

Our paintshop foreman commutes to methill everyday day mate so not far to pop over. :)
